There should not even be concern of this thread being locked, good information is present and many people are attracted to the s203 formatting. If it is somehow locked one way or another I will be personally disapointed how something like this is handled. Hopefully guys will keep it on topic

I apologize for being biased, I am just trying to fill up this list for the wing faster so they can get everything rolling. I am sure Paper got his list of to a rough start too when it came to the Syms replica.

I am just giving information and my opinion, I am by no means a salesman, far from it lol. I thought this thing would be pretty hot item, so I am just trying to reveal to everyone on this forum.

Mods, I do not feel it is necessary to lock this thread.

Ben has one on his car, look there. But its a Subaru OEM trunk, just alu not steel like ours. I think its hot but its also like $500 + shipping

Dam that sucks. That wing is pretty cool,, I guess. I think the car looks soo much better without a huge wing, that just draws too much attention from police in my expierience. When the STi is slammed it looks real good wingless, and it might look even better with the S203 wing too. I will be trying this out once this wing is made.

I remember that deal, sounded like the trunk was in fact Stolen. As for this S203 wing, I am already on the list for a carbon fiber one that will match up with the WRX trunk. I am very patient too, as long as it gets produced before this summer I am fine, just anxious.

 

Just PM'ed them, and if boost would not have bought that trunk before me, i would have a trunk to mount it on!!!!

I asked a few questions about the cf and stuff, so we'll see which ones i get... and boost if you want to sell that trunk

are you talking about the CF trunk? It broke during shipping so I got my money back and bought a regular old RS trunk from the dealership. The seller was way shady anyways, the trunk was probably stolen.

it is a good idea for those who want the full s203 look. It temps me greatly... as i have ths black diamond s203 style rims to be put on for the summer... decisions decisions.

like i said, i left opinionated comments out of my post because which wing looks better depends on the person...if u dont want a huge wing, stay with the wrx spoiler or go wingless...the S203 is still rather large...

 

This is cost effective to, between $$400-500 dollars, is not that bad at all, cheaper then the V-limited lip is how I look at it. I want this wing in CF and the replica S203 lip in CF, I think they will look great together. Whats that Replica SYMS 3-Piece Carbon Fiber Spoiler cost like $550???

right now paper has it for $375 in the group buy section

 

They are also going to make the S204 wing....which is basically just different mounts. Looks better IMO, cant wait for that

i guess u will need to wait on this.. they are going to make an excatly replica first ,which i have no idea if it bolts up to STI or WRX trunk..most likely needs to be drill...

just wait on the WRX version and see how it looks then

1. what are sti owners gonna do to cover up all those holes? buy a new trunk?
2. it will most likely require drilling of new holes
3. cost (gotta remember to add $100-200 to the total cost for paint); if buying a new trunk = $$ ouch!
4. Syms replica is exclusive in the sense that one needs a stock STi spoiler to use it
5. ease of installation (see #1 and #2) =P
6. alot of people expressed concerns about the stock wing blocking visibility, i dont think the S203 wing will help any
7. loss of 3rd brake light (possibly legal issues)

i believe there were some other concerns i had as well, but thats all I can think of at this time...please do not take my post the wrong way...it is by no means an attempt to sell you guys anything or start a this looks better than that war (as that is purely opinionated)...im just trying to help you guys to make well informed decisions...=)

I do agree that it will not be easy for many STi owners, but there are plenty of us on here that have already done trunk swaps for wingless and WRX wing trunks, so this will make things alot more simple, oh and dont forget about the people who have carbon trunks, the S203 wing will def. look very nice with this if its painted fiberglass or CF.

And all of us know how many people here are going for the S203 look, come on, spending $30 on a red switch, painting our dash's, painting the tiny STi red thats etched into our shifter trim, spending upward of $2000 on S203 BBS rims. Did I forget anything? So many of us love that damn car.

And yes, I highly doubt anyone will attempt this project with a STi trunk. A trunk swap is not that hard though, it happens all the time, on every WRX & STi forum. Remember, both wingless and WRX wing trunks will work b/c they will be making two types, yes for wingless you will have to drill holes.

When it comes to the S203 look, this is icing on the cake. It will def. complete your car.

Most of us have plenty of other things that are not legal on our cars, im sure the third brake light will not be a big issue.
