I installed my Prosport gauges last night.
Turns out the boost gauge is dead - the peak/alarm set button isn't really a button anymore, and the gauge isn't reading anything as far as vacuum or boost.
Anyway, a replacement will be in the works in a couple weeks since Prosport is sold out.
But, my question is in regards to tapping into the BPV.
In this pic:
the line is red is where I tapped. I cut the line, installed the supplied T-fitting, and routed the vacuum tube from there to the electric boost sender.
Is that correct?
I tapped exactly where that red is shown. Should I have gone lower?
There's the red part shown, then right after that, there's a slightly raised portion of the hose- about 2" - before it goes back to the normal size. Should I have tapped there, before, after? Or does it even matter?
I just want to see if I can at least get the gauge to read boost/vacuum until I get the new one to replace the broken one.
----------------
Okay, one last question about the oil galley plug. Is it a 1/8NPT sized bolt?
Since Subaru added a coolant line down there for the 06+ STI's, I didn't have enough room to put my sender in there. But, Chris05STI said he used a brass elbow bolt there and it worked nicely. So, I was going to pick one up and just needed to know a size.
Thanks for the help!
Cheers
