I bought an STi because they are an awesome performance driving machine for comparably very little money, not because it looks cool.

Having four forward facing lights on is not cool it is in fact a distraction to other drivers and is generally why it is illegal in OZ and by the sound of it various states in the US.
In the US you can have two sets of forward lights on at all times, not including parking lights, DRL's or LED vanity lights. So the only time it's illegal is when you would turn on your brights. If bright lights coming at you bother you try NOT stairing at them!

Nice to see something of mine raised from the dead. For the muppets in this thread that keep dropping "it's illegal" blah blah blah. Just know that every day you drive you are breaking the law or, as you would put it, doing something illegal.

1of100, thanks for the reply. Still would love to be able to have my fogs on with my marker lights. Have you done this?

Ok here you go. You'll want to do this on the passenger side so you have more room, again you only need to do it on one side. Remember your fog lights will be on anytime your parking lights are on and you can't turn them off. When you turn the high beams on the fog lights will stay on.

Start by removing your air intake scoop. Next locate the wires for the parking light (you won't be able to see the parking light ) one black and one red. Use a chunk of wire long enough to go down to the fog light. Using a splice connector splice the chunk of wire into the red wire on the parking light. Now get on the ground and remove the 2 snap clips and 1 10mm bolt to gain access to the fog light. Remove the fog light to give you more room to access the wires. Find your chunk of wire coming from the parking light. The fog light has two wire, black and white. Use a splice connector and splice into the white wire and test. If it doesn't work you may have missed the wire when crimping the connectors, check and retest. If all is good reinstall the fog light and air intake scoop and your done.

Nice! Is the red wire connected to the amber side marker light? I'm going to be tapping new lighting also...
Yes the red wire goes to the side marker light. You won't see the light cause it's in the fender but you'll see the red and black wire going to it.

This might be a little bit off topic but I have a 2019 sti base. As you guys know they don’t come with fog lights and my bright idea was to purchase everything to hook up fog lights with no instructions or anything to find on the web on how to wire up the whole set up from dash button to lights. Currently I have a unknown brand wiring kit and I’m little confused on what to do next so maybe you wiring gurus could assist me because I’m confused at this point. Trying to figure out where the yellow wire comes into play with the whole kit. Also should I be tapping into any wires with the button portion. Any pictures or videos of what you guys have done would be a great help.
