Hey guys. I just got a wide band installed. What are you all seeing for readings on E85 at:

Idle?

Cruising?

WOT?

appreciate the help

If it's on a gas scale, idle and cruise should still be around 14.7:1. As for WOT, ideally it should be around 12:1, but that depends on what the tuner did. You can use your tuning device to look up Command Fuel Final and see what it is targeting.

so my wide open throttle looks good.

My concern is that my idle has a huge variation and 13 or 16.5 is what it seems to be stuck on. I have yet to see my car idle around 14.7.

And when cruising on the freeway, my value is roughly 15.5. With even a slight acceleration or hill this cruising value goes back to about 14.7.

So I just took some more logs. It’s strange because at certain RPMs/times the car seems to cruise around 14.7 to 15.1. But at other RPM/times the car will cruise with more of a 15.6 average. I’ve noticed the same thing with idle. At times, it will idle perfectly at 14.7 and other times it idles more like 16. Has anyone else had this happen? Is this normal?

Is it a random blip or does it go to those readings and sort of stay for a bit. At cruise, what RPM are we talking?

These lean readings stay consistent for an extended period of time or essentially forever until I switch RPMs or gears, etc.

in sixth gear at both 2300 and 2700 RPM I was averaging between 15.4 to 15.6

for some reason in the fifth gear, cruising at 2800 RPM, my average was right at 15.00

Wonder if you have some stumble going on.
What tuning?

This is a Dyno tune however I found out later that there was a boost leak present during the tune.
I wouldn’t think that that would be causing this issue though because it seems RPM dependent and at wide-open throttle my wide band readings are perfect.

It’s strange because in fifth gear at 7800 RPM I’m right at 15.0 and in sixth year at 7200 to 7600 RPM I am right at 15.6. But the commanded fuel final is 14.5 for both of them.

why am I seeing this variation in differences between the commanded fuel final and the actual air fuel ratio depending on rpm?

lol, I will likely never have to worry about fueling at those ranges.
I’d look for vacuum/boost leaks.

Someone just looked at my logs into notice that while cruising and at idle there is zero air fuel correction happening. So essentially the air fuel correction 1 is stuck at zero. It appears as if the car is stuck in open loop regardless of idling, cruising or wide open throttle. Can this be normal? I am running ethanol?

I highly doubt it.
Who’s tuning are you running?

Put the OL/CL switch on your display screen on the AP. That will tell you if it’s staying in OL.
