I was just wondering how many people are going to have the 06 as their first STi or are they going to trade in their previous STi for the 06.

Shoot if I had a garage, I'd get an 06 right now... but oh well. Realistically, I want to get mine in about a year. That's how long it will take before I go nuts driving the company car ( 05 Chevy Uplander = tank ).

I'll also be getting one.

So far I'll be removing the trunk spoiler, maybe the roof spoiler too if it isn't bolted to the car. And those silly altezza tail lights have got to go too. I hope they can swap with the '05 tail lights.

if the tails are swappable, id trade for them. i kinda like em

I'm almost certain I'm getting one, if not an '06 WRX to save some money. Still haven't seen any, even in AZ they say Sept.

I've got a few on my list, kinda waiting for the '06 GTI. I know that's a very different car, but I love German cars and if I want something German that can perform like an STi I'd need to have $50k for an M3 or S4. But, I have to admit the Evo is still on my list, just for fun. I know the STi is a better daily driver, but from what I've heard the Evo's handling is just sick, has nicer seats, and that engine is crazy! But I think the STi looks better, is nicer inside overall, probably has a beefier feel, torquier and more linear power, it's not a Mitsubishi Lancer, and it's generally less expensive (stupid markups on the Evo out here). And stupid stuff like I want cruise control. I don't have the patience to wait the for the EvoX.

Decisions, decisions...

My instinct tells me to wait until 2007 for this supposed redesign, but I have no idea if it will be worth it. The current one is already badass enough, and the 06 is a very nice facelift. If they make a coupe STi, with a completely new engine, awd features, interior, with the right price, etc etc, I would wait, but none of that is known, so I'll prob get the '06.

Either an 06 Silver Sti or Silver Evo 9 this fall. Would rather have the STi but there is a considerable price difference and might not make it over the hump to the STi. I wouldn't consider either car very pretty, but neither are the earlier modles. Sorta fugly the whole lot. Got to have one though!

I'll keep my 04. Until they actually upgrade the performance and design, I can't imagine trading in my Sti this soon. For those who are planning on buying one, the 06 is the next best thing, and you get to experience having that.

I'll be picking one up as soon as they are available here in Toronto Canada. I've gone to a few dealerships and it seems Subaru is holding the regular sedan models along with the WRX and STi models until the end of the month. Subaru has released the 06 regular wagon models but that doesn't help me.

Just can't decide on colour. I'm considering either aspen white, obsidian black pearl or the new steel grey metallic. Steel grey metallic looked great on the wagon model they had on display but I want to see an STi in this colour before making my final decision. Just not sure how good the blue/black interior will look with the steel grey metallic exterior.

Yesterday, I traded in my 2005 CGM STI for a CGM 2006 STI. Since 2004, I have bought 3 Subarus and I got $1,000 discount on the 2006.It will be delivered somewtime next week.I am told they are at the docks and will be released if a confirmed sale is made. The 2005 is great but I guessed I will keep the 2006 till the next new model comes along.ill try to post some pics when car comes.

I have an 04 STi and I am not getting an 06. My STi only has 14.3K miles on it and has been problem free so far, as expected. No reason for me to get an 06 STi. I do intend to get a second Impreza soon however. Most likely an 04/05 OBS.

Saif.

I plan on picking up an '06 as soon as they're available. like others I'm still undecided about color. hopefully i'll be able to buy one off the lot with no options. I've grown to really like the new look, but there's still a chance i won't like it in person, then it'll be an '05 for me, but by mid Sept. I will be a STi owner!!!
