Right now im running a CAI, Invidia TB, walbro fule pump, grimmspeed 3port, and one step colder sparks with a tune of course. Is there a mod that I can add maybe a header or something that will not need a tune. I know to take full advantage of the mod you need a tune. but yeah any mods?

Anything that makes a difference in power should be tuned for. So either don't do it because it doesn't matter, or get tuned for it ;)

You can go to one step colder plugs without tuning, but other than that, I wouldn't do ANYTHING :D

I asked my tuner about this the other day actually. I was looking at the perrin crank pulley and this was his answer:

"The only one I would recommend is a racing one with a rubber insert and it costs about $700, don’t change it!"

Thoughts?

an AOS doesn't effect engine power output... it just eliminates the oil blow-by from being routed into your engines intake... the same blow-by that shouldn't be going into your intake in the first place. So no, You don't need a retune for an AOS. That's absurd.

If your car is blowing by a lot of oil when it is tuned, then you get an AOS & have 0 blow by, it seems like IATs might go down enough to make it comparable to getting a CAI without a tune. Maybe. Mods can cause problems indirectly. I call it the three stooges effect. Like when Moe slaps curly's head into lary's head into sheps head.

He obviously didn't know what it was dude, relax. Let's not turn this into NAZIoc.

Anyway... Especially if you have an aftermarket header and/or up pipe, or you plan on keeping the stock pieces forever, take the time to wrap them with some kind of thermal wrap. Personally, I'm not trying to promote anyone in particular, but DEI makes some titantium mesh heat wrap. I put that on my header and up pipe and I have a little more left that I'm going to wrap the hot side of my turbo with, and then put the heat shield back on.

If you do a good job, you'll see better boost response and even boost coming on a few hundred RPMs sooner.
