Just an update, took my car to Irvine Subaru and had them reset my TPMS. They charged me $33. I think I will pass the cost to America's Tire since they did not have adequate tools to reprogram.

 

Thanks for the feedback guys, no worries about thread jacking. There was no information about TPMS on our 15's so this is a good place for that discussion. I will check with Irvine Subaru and see what they have to say.

 

When I swapped my 2015 wrx wheels for 2015 sti wheels at discount tire, they did the tpms reset and installation for free. I was shocked.

 

Sry not to jack your tread. I was looking at buying programmable sensors like ez sensor, n have them cloned with the tpms ids I have now. That way I can swap winter n summer without getting anything reset. What you guys think about this process?

 

I really wanted to get these, but don't see much solid info on people's experience with them or where best to get them.

 

The GR only held 5 tires in memory so if you swap winter and summer you have to reprogram every time. I have an ATEQ Quickset which is the cheapest, easiest way to do it...you just need the TPMS ID's. Not sure if the 2015 is supported but I would assume so.

That's the exception, for sure. OP: search and you will find plenty of threads on these issues.

 

Subaru TPMS are a pain. There is no built in procedure and none of the standard tools work very well if you are starting from scratch. Once you have the codes for your new sensors, then you can get some of the cheaper ($100 or so) tools to work for changing wheels, but that's about it.

 

Sounds like a job for a dealership to me and most likely you have to buy new tpms because they prolly changed them that's my guess
