So while driving today I noticed that I wasn't getting any boost from my turbo. A little details about the car... 35K miles on it and completely stock with exception to suspension. So upon starting my car the boost gauge shows between -.01 and -.02. It only hits 0 at WOT. Also when putting the car in neutral i normally run idle at about 750 RPM. With this problem it would constantly drop down to just under 500 rpm and the car would slightly shake. Almost feeling like it was about to stall, then all of a sudden the rpm's would jump back up to about 1250 without even a slight touch to the gas...

Any ideas on what could be causing this problem? I havent looked under the hood yet to make sure everything looked connected with no issues but let me know any ideas or things that might cause this. Its been a little colder here the past few days but nothing more than its been all winter. About 10 degrees over night and its been running fine in negative temps before today
Thanks for your help,

sometimes lights won't blink if there is a code, alot of the times if you have a programmer it allows you to turn the check engine light off but still have the code saved into the ECU to fix the problem, I would still get the 02 scanner or whatever you call it from Autozone etc and plug it in and see what you find, if not then follow on what I mention before about a possible boost leak.

I would with that millage:

Clean the Maf sensor with CRC maf cleaner
Check for vacuum leaks or boost leaks with a boost leak tester "Home made"
Check for Codes stored in the ecu, but since in your case you are fully stock then I would skip this part as all the codes are turned on.
Compression test

Open the oil filler cap;
Does smoke come out of it with the engine on? Considerable amounts of pressure? There is some pressure in this area but it shouldn't be much.

Do this tests and come back here with the results.

Nope def no BOV.. all stock
I dont really have the time or tools to make a homemade boost leak tester... I have read a few posts on how to make one...
Ill check the oil filter test though at lunch today and see what happens.
I may have to take it up to the dealership and see what they say.
Would there be any reason it would do more damage driving it about 15 miles to and from work for a few days?
