Sparco Terra 17x7.5+45: Confirmed fit.

I lucked out and my 2011 came with winter tires on the stock wheels. But I'm not very happy with the tiny sidewall and wide footprint of the stock size for winter tires. So I'm having fun looking at options for next year, since these tires have about had it.

For the tires, I'm thinking 225/50-17. Plenty of sidewall and slighty bigger than stock.

For the wheels, I'd like something rugged looking. And since I mount 265s in the summer, I can go with a low offset to fill the wheel wells. Poking around, the Sparco Terra has a Mazda fitment in 17x7.5+45 5x114.3. Now I'm sure they wont clear the Brembos as is, but what about with a 15mm spacer? I'd still have 10mm more clearance than my summer wheels.

I think that would look pretty good.

Yeah, didn't think anyone would have any experience with this.

I'm pretty sure I can pull this off..

Re: Sparco Terra

I am checking on this and will get back to this thread soon.
Thanks. With a 15mm bolt-on spacer the only issue I can see would be the barrel clearing the calipers. But pushing the wheel out that much should move the widest part of the barrel over the caliper.

Re: Sparco Terra

Guys good news. The 17x7.5 ET45 Sparco Terra actually will clear the brakes with no spacer. We will be adding it as a good fitment to the website. Nice find!
Wow. Thanks for looking into that for us. I might still run the spacers to fill out the fenders, but it's good to know there's a rally looking wheel that will clear brembos.

Re: Sparco Terra

Any update..? Has any fitted yet? The website hasnt been updated..so just wanna know.
I can spec it on Tire Rack.

As for fitting, it's going to be a while. This is for next winter.

As a side note, I just got a set of snow tires for the GF's car. 235/55-17s... They could fit.... :D

Beautiful..im definately getting a set..do u know if a 245x55 17 tire would fit..or is that to much tire for a 7.5 width rim?
245/55-17 is way way too big. 225/55-17 is the absolute tallest that will fit. The tire is only 1/4 inch or so from the fender liners in some spots. If you want a 245, go with a 245/45-17 at most. Any taller and you'll rub when turning. If you want tall, a 235/50-17 MIGHT clear. But I can't be sure, the 225/55 is THAT close when turning.
