took my car for an alignment after a coilover install and they said my caster is 4.5* off between the left and right fronts. any idea what might cause such a thing? it doesn't have caster adj plates just camber

just got the numbers its 5.5* caster on the left front and 1* on the right...at first they said possibly the subframe was bent but i was like then how do all the bolts still fit? then they put it back on the rack and said the right control arm was bent... i'm deployed right now so can't see anything for sure and my parents who aren't car people have the car so i cant really verify anything....... LAME!!
not that i can remember i know i ran over a curb on one of those where the curb is cut out for a parking lot enterence and didn't notice how close i was to it but that was on the left side.
could a bent control arm really make the caster that far off?
Maybe the control arm really is bent but if your lowered with camber plates that could be your issue too. Whoever installed them might have put them in wrong (some camber plates have built in caster) which could cause one side to have more caster than the other
I have the same camber plates and your right they are not adjustable for caster. They have .8 degrees of caster built in. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you change the direction of the camber plate where it bolts into the chassis, caster may be affected. People do this to adjust caster and camber in one shot (damnit I forgot what this is called).
My car has the same issue with the front right. The wheel is way further forward and has been that way since I bought it. I did notice the the free caster mod had been accidentally done on that side and reversed it but I still am uneven and my axle rubs on the subframe. I also am suspecting that my control arm is bent.
my buddy said he got just one not both from the dealer near ATL for about $300... lame but i needed it done the next day so i couldn't wait around for ebay or anything else
