I currently have a GReddy TI-C catback system. I'm running stock downpipe. Was just wondering, I don't want to get into morre trouble due to loud exhaust thats why I put on my silencer for.
My question is, is it bad for the engine when I have my silencer put in the exhaust? I mean, will it make the engine run hotter then normal?

Thanks

I'm not sure exactly it would make it hotter, but when I had the silencer on and punched it you could hear a loud shhh sound. I don't think it's good because the turbo is pushing all that air out from decent sized piping and then it has to exit through the silencer, which is small in diameter. Thats what I think... Just take it out. It'll sound sooo much better :D. Oh and you'll notice the car will pull a bit harder from the better air flow.

your only running a cat-back so with it in or out you not going to lose or gain any hp maybe 1-2 hp lol. now if you are stage2 or + with a pro tune thats a hole different story.

i dont get why you cali boy's buy those exhaust's you know the cop's are bad and going to pull you over... **** there starting to pull us over in WI, i got pulled over the other day and the cop asked "is your exhaust modified" me "no ser its a SPT from the factory" lol its a APS. then he let me go..
