I have a v3 and currently a spt boost gauge but I'm getting ready to upgrade to the defi boost and oil pressure gauge. I plan on adding oil temp and afr in the future too. The AP is great to monitor a lot of other parameters as has been mentioned but some I just feel better with having a solid gauge to reference I.e. The ones I'll be installing.

Basically ya I may not have upgraded to a V3 from a V2 but it was my first AP so I just went with the V3 and love it.

We like to think of the v3 Accessport's gauge feature as supplying additional very useful data that you cannot acquire via an external gauges. It is not meant to replace certain external gauges (such as oil temp/pressure). It can certainly replace a boost gauge though, as described before.

Bill
A v2 could replace a boost gauge too. V3 doesnt justify the cost of a trade in with a flimsy faceplate and big screen that shows you the same exact stuff.

I think it is worth it
Cobb V2 displays 1 parameter at a time

while V3 displays multiple (say if you want to monitor knock live along with boost)

alot of wasted space on this screen.....
Cobb... make the numbers bigger!
even if they are scrunched together... i dont care!!!!
specifically the limit numbers below the real time numbers
I prefer needles vs numbers. I can't stand cars with digital speedos, like the wife's Prius; just takes your eye away from the road to read it which is very unsafe if you ask me. With a needle gauge I can see it in my peripheral without moving my eyes off the road. Staring at an accessport while driving is no different than trying to read a text, which is illegal in most states.

Yeahh im about to hit redline but nevermind the tach... Time to double check the knock sensor intake temp and target boost all at the same time. Glad i paid $300 to trade in my v2. What a joke... That is what data logging is for. Buy some real gauges and get something useful. Trey cobb could take a shit in a box and some of you guys would pay and upgrade fee for it.

car is a daily driver.
I hit redline 0 times today, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and the day before that, and then on that day i hit redline... and when i did, i wasn't watching my v3 at all.

but then at the next red light... i did look down at it.
0 knock.
woo hoo!!!
