Hey everyone, this is my first post and I’m looking for some suggestions!

I have a 2018 STI with the following modifications/parts:

  • Invidia Catted/Divorced downpipe
  • Invidia r400 cat back
  • AEM Cold air intake
  • Tial 38mm EWG
  • Cobb elec. boost controller
  • Grimmspeed up-pipe
  • Cobb Accessport
  • eTuned by ArcFlash
- Stage 2/93oct/19psi

I’m wanting higher power/performance. 99% of my driving is on the street but I occasionally go to the drag strip. At this point I’m just looking for suggestions on what to upgrade next. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Injectors, fuel pump, (stock location) turbo, and equal length headers (ELH). Pretty much it lol. Maybe suspension? As for which to get, it really depends on your budget

For reference, I’m 100% street, making about 400 hp, and my injectors are only at about 60% (meaning there’s room for more power). Probably wouldn’t win many drag races, but it’s a blast on the street. I have a BCP x500+ turbo, ID1050X injectors, an AEM 340 lph fuel pump, and ELH

What’s your HP goal? Anything between 400-500 wheel is a blast on the street. Anything more is still fun, but you start to lose street ability due to a slower spooling turbo.

Karlot is correct in asking for budget - but I recommend 1300x injectors, single fuel pump (get the hellcat), EL headers and E85. For 400 WHP go FP blue, for 500 get a Green or Black with FMIC. I have the FP Black and though there is some lag, it is extremely fun for the street. Oh yeah, pick up some 18" race wheels as well to reduce your car's rotational mass. The stock 19" wheels are ridiculous IMO

EDIT: Build your motor - pistons, rods, ARP head studs

If OP were to go 400 or 500 whp, he would need some engine work at minimum. Hitting 350-370whp is the sweet spot, money-wise. You can get all the juice but not build your engine. Anything more than 400whp, then it is a HUUUGE risk and a HUGEEEE price spike since you will need many supporting engine work that cost $$$.

killerb with cobb ti exhaust - few revs

- tomei with revel exhaust

It's not a Honda, but it doesn't have the inefficient sound that so many crave.
I still think that it still has a distinct Subie sound with the Cobb exhaust.

Any specific inlet you suggest? I’ve been looking at the Cobb V2.
Perrin or Cobb will do just fine. The Perrin can be installed without removing the intake manifold. Just some patience, lube, and the right tools. The Cobb should be same.

It’s love on their page, that much I know. And at $450 it’s not bad, but I want to learn more about it.

Wow that looks sweet! I like how the fittings are threaded! I wonder how the inside of the inlet is. Sometimes the carbon fiber stuff looks real nice and pretty on the outside, but the insides can be pretty rough. My gripe with these hard inlets is that it still uses silicon couplers. They always require trimming which is really annoying in my opinion. Like for the price of these things, would it really just kill them to make them the appropiate size?! Especially when they offer a stock turbo inlet size!

Someone better alert @Black90tsiawd about this carbon fiber ism

Wouldn't work for me. Id need to do a custom one for the rotated kit. If you happen to know anyone that does one off custom carbon fiber car parts if love to ask them if the cost is only going to make me shed a single tear or have me weeping like school girl in the corner.

I do like the Yperion one better. That guy does actually do all the work in house and it has burnt titanium ports on it. From what I've read TS is a Chinese company that more or less copies other manufacturers work. Nothing to back that statement up other than Internet/industry rumors. But a lot of their stuff sure does look exactly like some other vendors stuff. Just look at their new "cosworth" intake manifold.

@Jay11STI if you look at the TS page, they show some pretty decent pictures of the inside of the inlet.
I’d like to see one in person, mainly to see how well the Carbon matches all of my Redline stuff. If it’s pretty dang close, I might eventually opt for one of these. Not mad at my Perrin at all though. I need to leave well enough alone lol…
