As the car sits... I'm out of turbo which is why there is that dip in hp... So I'm considering upgrading to a larger AMR unit... like the T-70R or maybe something bigger and better by them as the T-70R has been out for a while and I know AMR is constantly improving and bettering their products.

However I'm not to concerned over this because the car is an absolute blast to drive. It plants a perma-grin on my face every time I get on the throttle.

The work and craftsmanship is a thing of beauty... then engine bay and exhaust setup are really wonderful looking and designed perfectly.

Also the STi is now suprisingly and even better daily driver then when I got it new. This is because Rob has given my the best part throttle tune I could have asked for.

The car is glass smooth, no bucking, hesitating, or anything, and can be driven at any rpm and any throttle position. Really incredible what they have done here.

The custom exhaust built my them too is second to none, and by far the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard on a subaru.

Sorry, I've been very busy with work and haven't really had the time to come online.

Thanks... yea the car just lurches forward when their turbo spools up... Feels wonderful.

why the 9.5:1 pistons?
Because I wanted better of boost response, and lower rpm daily driverability, and that's excatly what I got. The car is such a pleasure to just put around in at any rpm or throttle position.

I roll up to speed bumps in 1st gear off throttle letting the rpms drop to as low as 1200rpms and then slowly roll back on the throttle as I go over the bump and the car is butter smooth, with absolutely no hesitation or jerkiness.

Not bad at all! Look into either the Blouch DOM3xt-r or the DOM4. On E85 you should be able to go way past the 450 mark with one of those two turbos and they are are a great product also. Just my .02

Both turbos seems like pretty much a lateral move for the work involved... dom 3 would mean flowing less lb/min just in exchange for a larger exhaust housing... and the dom 4 would flow the same lb/min, and only upgrade the size of the exhaust housing.

If and when I do an upgrade, I would want to upgrade both... so something like the AMR T-70R (70 lb/min and 8cm^2)

I love your STI dude great job! I have a question did you have to cut out the front bumper to make fit the fmic? or any major mods to make it fit? I'm looking into getting a perrin and i was told that they had to modify the bumper though.

Thanks

Thanks for the compliment.

The front bumper had to be trimmed ever so slightly, but nothing major at all... But this was with AMR's fmic.... I don't know anything about Perrins and how similar or different it is.
