So most people have probably read already that Ecuteak is taking the same route as Cobb, no surprises there. I plan to build a 350WHP 2018 STI, currently at 300 (Will be in a few days when I get it tuned), but I was wondering if anyone knows anyway to get tuned without spending 5k minimum on a standalone, I don’t need it, I don’t want it, its just not necessary in the least bit for what I’m building. If anyone could give some insight into this that would be great. Also I live in Canada, not sure if that’s important information but the US may have different rules.

so i completely understand why the greenspeed crap is annoying. BUT for 350whp as a goal, you can easily do this via cobb, just retain your emissions related items. iag makes tgv's that flow better, but are still compliant. a few companies make gesi downpipes (though if you really want high quality you can buy catless and weld in a much nicer cat, more money though).

the only annoying thing is that we lost the flex fuel option. to which, you can still hook up an ethanol content gauge, and quite litearally have 8-10 tunes. for e10 (pump 93), then e20, e30, and so on up to e85 and just change based on the live ethanol content. or run e85 consistently (you'll still need to test for ethanol levels).

in theory, you could go opensource, and use that to still skirt emissions CELs. and run a flex setup that way. the problem becomes you will have a hard time finding a tuner willing to take on that liability risk to actually tune the car.

With Cobb coming out with a NexGen flex kit, that flex fuel option may be something to consider instead of 5000 maps and testing. Set it and forget it sort of situation.

For Noble, what mods do you currently have? I think that's a viable question to ask, and what parts are you planning on putting on (besides Open Source, EcuTek, etc)

cobb has been talking about the next gen kit for some time now. when is that actually going to show up?

This whole thing makes sense other than the fact that I’m currently running cobbs gesi catted DP, but apparently they still throw up codes, cant run e85 anyways I live in Ontario we don’t really have it here other than really remote areas haha, I would love to tho, and as for the open source I believe open source isn’t available for 15+

It’s honestly just the DP I spent 1200 on cobbs gesi catted DP and I’m really not looking to lose money by selling it and then buying A higher flow DP even though this DP is specifically made for emissions lol.

So, there are some users on here that run the Cobb and have no CELS due to O2 scaling. Jaz can expand more in that.

I also know that there are some that are using the Grimmspeed V2 and haven’t had any issues so far as well, that I’m aware of.

My hope is that with the Cobb NexGen flex fuel coming out soon, they also fix the Downpipe issue and send them out to the public.
