Re: yamahaSHO's Street Car - Racing at Street Car Takeover Denver!

'twas a good time indeed! That car will get in the 9's soon. It was fun to finally ride in yours. Making me want that turbo upgrade. Just gotta make my mind up.

Kicking back doing some e-tunes and enjoying the crap out of these speakers. I've upgraded the tweeters, mid-range drivers, and crossovers and they are fantastic, for both music and movies.

TV is on the ground as I am pulling apart the wall above the fireplace and remodeling. Part of that will be a mantle with a build in center channel. :)

I don't know who this is, but they filmed all our runs and posted it up. We won second place, which was cool. Traction is a huge problem now, but we'll get it down. You'll see it right... The Taurus went 161.8 mph in the 1/4 mile. This motor was built in 5 days, in addition to adding a new replacement trans (other leaking onto the clutch), and new clutch! Straight from the garage to the track!

I am the guy in the red hat lining him up:

And... Since the big speakers I bought for the shop I am doing, ended up in the living room. I got some shop speakers today. These were made in 1982 and have the capacitors upgraded already.

Is your personal Sti still running a stock clutch ?

I am looking to shelf my twin plate and go back to stock, I assume it will have no issues with track days and maybe 340wtq

Re: yamahaSHO's Street Car - Racing at Street Car Takeover Denver!

Had a dyno day this last weekend in Omaha. I had 5 Subaru's on the dyno, but then switched it up a little:

2006 S2000 - AEM Infinity ECU - 6266 on E85 (no mufflers... Loud as hell).

2014 GT-R - Cobb AccessPort - "stage 2" w/ ID1300's, fuel pump, and E85.

I've tuned a couple guys who work for 1320 Video over the years, and one came out and took a bunch of photos for us. Cory Klabunde Photography - الصفحة الرئيسية | فيسبوك

August is really hot in this dyno room:

Tuned him previously, just came to hang out.

1320 Video dropped a new video today :)

This was right before he hit 3rd gear and freight trained me.

I will also leave this here... Might want to watch it:

That S2000 was stupid loud! It made power with little to effort though.

Looks like season 2 of Fastest Car will release in one week. Don't be surprised if you see the owner of the car explain to me, the tuner, what a connecting rod is... They were coaching us. I'm not sure how we will be portrayed yet... :/

Re: yamahaSHO's Street Car - Detailed the car... Might be pending sale.

I recently had someone reach out to me again, asking if I sold my car. Previously, he was interested, but his budget would not support the condition of car he wanted. After looking at a few in my budget, he was less than impressed.

That said, I decided to detail the car... I still have to vacuum the interior and pull the wheels off to clean, polish, and coat... But the paint is popping more than I've seen in it my ownership. I am also waiting for my new seals and such to put the wing back on as I removed it for a proper cleaning and buffing.

Pre-detail:

Cleaned up the engine bay prior to detail:

Buffed and waxed.... I broke clips on the front grill, so I await a brand new one in the mail. Apparently, I forgot how that grill came out from the last time I removed it.

Dust settles on it quickly, as seen... But now I can blow the car clean with an air compressor. :)

That said, the guy who reached out to me has been slow... If we can reach a deal by the weekend, I think I'll put the car up on The best vintage and classic cars for sale online | Bring a Trailer. The car is great, does everything great, etc, but I think I have had my fun with it. Although I drove it more this year and had some fun, I don't see myself driving it regularly nor do I desire to build it any bigger. This is about where I was with my SHO when I sold it... which was about the 10 year mark, which is where I am now with this car.

My current turbo is smaller than a VF39. A diesel does not need to sustain high flow at a high RPM to make huge amounts of torque... Which I made 475 wtq on a Mustang Dyno.
