If people are able to do trunk swaps, then is it ok to put a WRX hood on an STi to match? Would it be ok just for easy driving, like for the break in period or cruising?
In my opinion, I think doing this would be ok because if companies out there are making bigger TMICs for the WRX, wouldn't they also recommend a bigger hood scoop to supplement the mod? For example, on the APS website (http://www.airpowersystems.com.au/wrx/my01/tmic.htm) they sell a TMIC for the WRX. It is 2.6 times bigger than the WRX TMIC and it can also fit on the STi (sorry I don't know the specs of the STi TMIC). So if the WRX hood can function with this TMIC, which can also fit on the STi, does that mean the WRX hood can work on a stock STi TMIC?
What do you guys think?
