Damn....getting pretty quiet lately? Everyone alright.

Have we finally reached that point where we just need the car in our hands to talk about anything else? Gets kinda tiresome talking about a car and things we are going to do to it/with it when we don't have it yet...huh?

I'm here and agree there is not much to talk about. I do however look at my brochure every night before I go to bed.

I have internet access at work now, don't know if that's good or bad, so I check in here a few times a day and yeah it's been pretty quiet today.

BTW darwood, I look at my brochure eveynight before I go to bed also. It is lying right beside my bed. At least I don't feel so bad now that I know I am not the only one. Not to mention my wallpaper on my computer at work and home. I sometimes find myself just sitting there and staring at that also. I can't wait till I can sit and stare at it sitting in my driveway, after I get done driving it of course. I don't know how many times I watched that Best Motoring vid I downloaded. I can't even understand what they are saying. I think I need help.

But, go ahead and speculate and post all you want between now and then.

My thoughts are that this place should be really busy within the next 30 to 45 days. We should have pricing, options and more information on allocation..

Well I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one constantly thinking about this car. My brochures are also looked at every day I could probably recite the whole thing, thats how often I read it. I just cant wait to see that car sitting in my garage. And actually being able to take her out for a spin ..ahhhhh soon enough 8)

Oh I know. I can't wait to see the thing in person now. I'm hoping it will be here at the KC auto show in a few weeks.

I lay in bed at night.....thinking about actually touching it.....feeling the seats.....running my hand over the fender flares.......looking up into the wheel wells, eyes bouncing between the brembos and the suspension.

Oh....and who hasn't tried to imagine the new car smell.....

I swear to God...if it's possible to get horny over a car, I'm there.

As everyone knows, everything has died down currently. To keep us busy, I say we figure out what aftermarket performance parts will best suit the STI. This means, best catback exhaust, best rims, best intake, best bov, best gauges, you get my idea. Then when we get our baby, we know exactly what to buy and not so we fools dont make a big mistake!

Keep to parts that we know exist, no parts such as new gaskets or any technical part that must be specifically designed for the STI. Hope this will keep us busy.

Ill start this one by saying, which exhaust will best fit the STI. Now lets do some research and not speculate on what we think we know!! I want mechanics on this one!

Semi-STi Blueprints

I'm wondering if we'll have to get completely different exhaust systems made for the STi considering the different block (if it is different).

Does anyone have any information about this 2.5 engine? We've said it isn't just a boosted RS engine...but where did it come from? Is this the first time it's been used anywhere in the world?

If the block is different, it'll be a while before we get parts like exhaust, uppipes......at least as far as I can tell.

Well, one thing I have possibly planned is if I go with the silver wheels I am taking them to a local shop here and getting them powdercoated anthracite. I will also probably be getting Rota winter wheels/tires 5-6 months after I buy the car.

Other than that..air filter, switch to synthetic oil. Hmm..that's about it I think.

brochure??? I look at the brochure and flip through the 100 something pictures of it I have saved.

Let's not forget the things that remind me of the STi though...the SWRT flag hanging above my TV....the SWRT T-shirts in the drawer (3 of em)...the SWRT official screensaver and the rotating wallpaper on my desktop.

Oh....and of course visiting this site around 6 times a day.
