Thank you for reply. Any gear above 3500 rpm is fine for engine to pull am I right?30% at 3800rpm is more than fine.
Lugging is more like 80-100% at 2000-2500rpm
That's more or less the rule.Thank you for reply. Any gear above 3500 rpm is fine for engine to pull am I right?
100% at 3K in 4-6th is not good regardless of whether you resist calling it lugging. 3500 is far better for 4th , over 4K for 5th or 6th. If that's to fast then those gears were certainly not needed at that time.30% at 3800rpm is more than fine.

Not really. If you want to accelerate the n the best gear to be in is one that will put you closer to 4500, 100% @ 3500rpm in 5th and 6th gear will create a lot more stress than being in a lower gear and it they will be slower anyway. So why do it? You have a transmission, use it to you and your engines advantage ! ! !Thank you for reply. Any gear above 3500 rpm is fine for engine to pull am I right?
Thank you for reply. I haven’t 100% WOT on my car yet. 50% is most time I do pull, yesterday just apply 30-40% at 5th 3k8 rpm.100% at 3K in 4-6th is not good regardless of whether you resist calling it lugging. 3500 is far better for 4th , over 4K for 5th or 6th.
