I have the 2008 OEM Subaru Boost Gauge (ie., japanparts.com / harmanmotive.com), and I am guessing that I need to splice a wire for electrical into the gauge. Does anyone have a diagram, or can anyone explain which wire exactly to splice? I don't want to have to get behind my dash if I can just get behind the fuse box and splice it back there...

For anyone who's done this, please let me know! I'm excited to get this on and want to do it the right way... Thanks.

Didn't the boost gauge come with the install sheet? It should tell you where to tap in. For my Defi gauge, I tapped into the IGN wire for the hazard button, but that was an '05, so I'm sure things have changed since then.

Unfortunately, the install sheet - which was entirely in Japanese of course - did not have any diagrams where to tap to get the electrical. And I was at least going to see if the needle would move to see what bar I was pushing, but since it's entirely electrical, I couldn't even do that... So at this point I have everything hooked up, except the juice.

when i get home i can tell you the wires on the fuse box.. i'm using a defi boost gauge.. there is an ACC fuse and if you look at the fuse panel cover, you can figure out which ones to tap for constant power.. i don't remember what wire i used to trigger the dimming when the lights are turned on.. i'll know more this afternoon

Dude there is no perfect or 100% the right way. Find a source, tap into it. Don't choose an air bag circuit. Use a test light, find the source, tap into it. The fuse box is good, you can even buy special taps from Autozone. The cig lighter is good. The hazard button, the

I have added a Garmin nav (fuse panal), escort radar (over head lights), 160 gig hard drive, (fuse box) an additional sub under the pass seat.(cig lighter and fuse box.)
