She put down 314hp and 319 foot pounds on a very conservative tune, I think Chris was a little shocked when I told him it had 120k on the clock. The stock intercooler is the limiting factor right now and he said an intake would help too. Turbo is awesome, spools like stock but holds power till redline . ill post a picture of the dyno sheet later once I get home, along with a video!

Awesome! That sounds like a very wide powerband, which is what Im going for. Awaiting the dyno plot.

Did you give Efi the ok to load you into the database, I'd like to see boost,afr etc?

Welp this is basically what I've been up to. Not from the sti though! My friend had a 97 legacy 2.5 gt which are notorious for raping head gaskets and his finally went. He decided not to even bother with it and was gonna junk it but gave me the opportunity to buy it for 400 beans. Done deal! Now the somewhat proud owner of a blarple 2.5 gt!


Hopefully I'll be able to attend some autox events soon. For those of you who saw a blarple 2.5 gt racing at devens last year, yes it's that one.

I've been debating what to do with my suspension for quite some time now and I think I'm finally ready to get in debt a little. Eventually I want to be able to compete in SM so I'm thinking a good coilover setup will be necessary, but I was also thinking about rce yellows or blacks and some camber plates. If I were to do coilovers I wouldnt wanna go cheap, any suggestions would be appreciated

Willub, based upon my experience with both springs and coilovers from a ride standpoint, I vote coilovers hands down. But don't go cheap, look for a set someone is selling. Get either TiC revalved AST's or RCE T2's and you will be extremely happy IMHO.

Think I'm gonna go with the BC BR coilovers and see how I like them. I simply cant afford the higher end sets right now and people seem to have good results with the BR's.

Made some more progress on the 2.5gt, both heads and valve covers are back on. Should have the engine back in tonight if all goes well (yeah right):lol:

i would look for a used set of nice coilovers and save the money. don't opt for the BC's, i keep seeing them blow out after use for auto-x/track. :(

i still have some RCE front camber plates i'm trying to sell.

I've been looking for some used ones but cant seem to find many, and the ones I do find seem no cheaper than buying new ones. Guess ill try and be patient. Thanks for the input on the bc's, definitely interested in the camber plates.

i was going to get BC's also. but after reading and suggestions by members, i found some used ASTs that i am very happy with. i would love rce t2s, but they are mad money. with vorshlag f/r camber plates. that's an expensive setup lol.

Drove my car for the first time in a while after letting my friend drive it for a week. Took it to autozone and noticed a coolant smell, temp gauge was normal so I just continued home. Got home and coolant was everywhere when I popped the hood but everything looked ok so I figured it just came out the overflow since it's a little overfilled and it was 100 degrees that day.

Turns out my radiator is cracked, car started to overheat a couple of times while I was taxi'ing people around today so I opened the hood and noticed a hairline crack in the plastic. Oh well, just an excuse to upgrade :D I was fearing another head gasket failure because of how random the overheating was
