This may seem to be a bit conceded but I though I would throw it out there anyway. I hear that the all import docks are all going to have major delays due to heavy inspection now that the war is getting closer. Has anyone heard of how this will effect the delivery of vehicles and shuch. Just wondering, hope no one is offended by me wanting the car so bad that the idea of this war slowing it down makes me cringe. :-?

no offense here. heck, the thought of the war makes me sick. ( then again, i'm one of the, perhaps dense, opposition that questions its necessity.)

anyway, i've had the same thought as you. it seems they'd "fast track" a shipment from an japanese auto manufacturer. it seems that some kinds of cargo would require less scrutiny than others; e.g. shiny new cars .vs. scrap metal.

Right-o. There is a big difference between opening a container ship from some little no name Korean company vs. the probably dedicated auto transport ships coming from Japanese car companies.

I wouldn't expect a delay.

Heh, first off. You want to talk about making someone sick, you should read the accounts of the people that defected from Iraq, and what the current ruling Bath Party does to people that do things like listen to american broadcasts on the radio and such. Second, this "war" should be over in the next few weeks. I doubt very seriously that it will affect our stis' arrival. Third, that is an honest question that shouldn't offend anyone, but you never can tell nowadays.

i don't know how fast this 'war' will be over.... if we don't ever get UN approval, we will be left to clean up the mess on our own after the 'war' is over. even if the 'war' lasts for weeks, the clean-up could last for years.

Establishing a new regime in Iraq, or "cleaning up" the aftermath of this war, should have no bearing on incoming shipments from Japan. However, if Japan were to get itchy trigger fingers and go "Pearl Harbor" on us, that could affect things. But it better not! :wink:
