i know they are seeing about bringing the sti to the us, like in a couple years. but what is the real story, i mean is it even likely that they will bring the sti, let alone soon? how about the evo 7?
any comments appreciated
I'm about 3 weeks off picking up my WR Blue STI here in Australia. The press has mentioned the reason for the "reasonable" price in Australia ($55K AUS) is due to the volume which will be sold in the US.
Go figure! Hope you guys get it soon, but not before me
They'll bring it. Too much to lose if they don't, especially if Mitsu brings over the Evo. Think about the price vs. performance - they are _no_ cars for the price that ar will sell for that will even come close to matching in performance. It will finally establish Subaru as a performance leader in the US - much like they are known in the rest of the world.
I hope all you guys in the U.S. get the Sti soon so you can taste real driving pleasure.I am 1 month away from upgrading from 2L turbo to a WR blue Sti.One warning though : You won't be able to drive anything else afterwards.Good Luck.
Judging from the demand by U.S. customers Subaru have no choice but to bring the Sti over as they cannot ignore such a huge market and also risk the loss of interest by customers wanting more than base models. They want you driving a suby and not an Evo.
