I'm about 3 weeks off picking up my WR Blue STI here in Australia. The press has mentioned the reason for the "reasonable" price in Australia ($55K AUS) is due to the volume which will be sold in the US.

Go figure! Hope you guys get it soon, but not before me

They'll bring it. Too much to lose if they don't, especially if Mitsu brings over the Evo. Think about the price vs. performance - they are _no_ cars for the price that ar will sell for that will even come close to matching in performance. It will finally establish Subaru as a performance leader in the US - much like they are known in the rest of the world.

Judging from the demand by U.S. customers Subaru have no choice but to bring the Sti over as they cannot ignore such a huge market and also risk the loss of interest by customers wanting more than base models. They want you driving a suby and not an Evo.
