Here is my e-mail and the response I have received:

Dear Mr. Allison:
Thank you for visiting the Subaru Web site and for your kind comments
about the WRX STi that will soon be available in North America!!!
It is always nice to hear positive feedback regarding our products
and/or services. As you can imagine, many people tend to contact a company
only when they are unhappy about a particular situation. We find that
it takes a very special person to take the time to send a compliment
about a product or service that has given such great satisfaction.
We appreciate that you took the time to give us your comments. We will
forward them to our Product Planning Department for their future
consideration. In the past, input from our owners has been helpful in
initiating changes to our newer models. We hope to continually improve our
products and appreciate your recommendations.
Thanks again for your time, comments and suggestion.
Best wishes,
John J. Mergen

YOUR ORIGINAL MAIL:
RE: 2004 WRX STi wheel color choice survey.
First, please send my thanks for bringing the car over in the first
place. Secondly, thank you for making the customer first and actually
doing marketing research as to which color wheel the average consumer
would choose on 'their' STi. I love the gold wheels, but instead of
offering the silver no-cost option, why not opt to make the choices gold and
gunmetal/anthracite (dark grayish..like a titanium look)? I know
through many websites this has been a HUGE request. Please see
www.nasioc.com and
www.imprezawrxsti.com . I think the consensus is gold and
gunmetal would be better choice option for the car. Please pass my remarks
to the highest level for serious consideration.
Thanks and best regards,
Todd Allison
