i see that the IC spray switch is where the fog and CC switches used to be on the wrx.

so where are they located now? i have seen numerous photos of the interior, but non of the switches.

I would assume that it's the same setup as the WRX, where the set/resume lever is on the right side of the steering wheel, and the activation button would be next to the IC spray button...even though it was blank in the pictures you may have seen. The other blank is probably for you to install a "super pursuit mode" or "turbo boost" like they have on the Knight Industries 2000 :D

is that small thing at the end of the stalk the button to TURN ON the cruise control?

i hope so. current placement in the wrx blows.

i got so used to the one in my 4runner where the on the left side of the steering wheel is the ON button. on the right are 1 button to cancel and a rocker button to go up or down... really convenient with the thumbs. of course i dont have a front airbags...

Yeah, the button on the end should be the on/off button. The rest of the buttons are configured exactly like the one on my Celica. On/off on the end, push down for set/decel, push up for resume/accel, and pull the lever toward you to cancel the cruise, similar to hitting the brakes.

I think this might be the fog light switch or it could just be the intensity of the lights im not sure....but if u download the pictures from impreza.subaru.com they show some extra swiches right next to the I/C water spray button and it looks like it has to do with lights

If you can download the pictures i suggest you use high speed internet because the file size is 27mb or if some one could upload the picture you all could see it

Does anyone know anything about that? Is it just a manual 'blinding' adjustment? I assume it isn't automatic like the BMW systems. So just on good faith you are supposed to adjust the beam for how loaded you are? I guess I don't see the need for this adjustment 99% of the time.

I believe its auto-leveling, but that the switches control the height/position. Meaning you can set your light level higher or lower, and the auto adjustment part is when you are driving up or down a hill or have a significant load in the car.

All European cars have this, even non-HID.

I don't think there are fogs on the STi. The reps at the auto show told me there aren't any behind the covers and Subaru's website does not mention them any more.
This is correct and we can just end this topic right here.

if you want fog lights just mount some on the front of the car like the rally cars.
