I have been playing around with the idea of what aftermarket wheels to get for the STi. I am definately form following function, but looks are still an important factor.

I've narrowed my tastes down to these few wheels:
Prodrive GC-07

Prodrive GC-06..both in anthracite (british black)

OZ Superleggeras..

SSR Competitions anthracite

Possibly some Volk wheel.

I want a lightweight good looking 18 inch wheel. All of the above fit this. I don't know what color STi I want most (I would take one of each color please), but probably black being my number 1...

I would love to hear everyone's opinion.

I would consider the OZ Superleggeras. The color I'm not sure. I like the gold. But the anthracites look sweet too.

I also like these which are the BBS RV's that come on the Spec C. Preferably in gold.

or Prodrive P1 anthracite or gold

Thanks to whomever added pics to my "wish list."

Well, I'm hoping/betting on black, but nevertheless, I still am looking at these specific wheels. Of course gold, or bronze or even silver can be thrown in there..but in terms of wheels--brands and models for their durability, quality, lightness, and strength.

Anyone have any others to add?

Personally, out of those I would be partial to the Superleggara's in Gold, or the Prodrive P1 in Gold. I also like Volk TE-37's. :D :p

STi performance

Those wheels are pretty much the ones I've been looking at, the Prodrive wheels and the SSR Competition would be my picks. However, I'm not sure I would buy new rims, if I do, they'd have to be 17s so that I could keep the stock tires and put winter tires on the stock wheels...all my "mods" would be snowboarding-related :)

I really like the Prodrive P1s..but they are heavy. I'd like to get an all in one performance and appearance wheel. The OZ SLs are pretty lite, strong, and are about have the price of the GC-07s and GC-06s.

What is everyone gonna do with for winter wheels? What about track wheels (if applicable)?

Stupid Super Street Article

I really like the look of CE-28Ns in bronze, but they only come in 17s. The TE37s are really nice too..but I think the white looks better than the bronze..

I'm all about the volks guys. This is the order of my wish list: gram lights, CE-28Ns,SE-37Ks,SE-37As,TE-37s. The only non-volk wheels that I would consider are maybe Racing Harts CPO35s in winning gold, although those BBS in bronze do look nice on the Spec C.

just my $.02

BTW, the reason why I love volks so much is cause I use to have a set of TE-37s in gunmetal and the finish on it was so top quality(which made them easy to clean) and not to mention they were super lightweight. Best set of wheels I ever owned.

How much do the TE-37's weigh in a 18"? My friend has some gunmetal or anthracite ones on his RS, and they look AWESOME.

Here is what I want in a wheel:

1) Lightweight
2) Strong
3) Looks Good

In that order...

I plan on getting a set of 17" Rota's or some other cheap wheel to put on the car for winter, I will use the stock rims for my Summer Street tires, and I want a really nice set (possible the TE-37's) for the R Compounds. :)

Now that is an idea. I thought about having three sets of wheels..but I know for sure the wife couldn't see it. Of course when you throw the idea of Rotas in there..yup..that would work. Good plan..Rota wheels for the winter..or the stockers.

You know, I've heard that the stock STi gold wheels (the new design on 02 STi+) is actually strong and lightweight. I don't think they are fully forged..curious though.
