Anyone Going To The Track???

I know what spacers do (extend the whell from the axel, right? :-? ), but what do they do to performance (lateral g's, toe, camber, etc.)? And how much spacing is too much?

I'm asking because I reading that the STi offset is +53mm, which is even greater than the regular 'Rex. This severly limits aftermarket wheel choices, and I'm guessing that using spacers would increase my choices.

Not a real good idea. Changes the forces on your wheel bearings and suspension bushings.

There are options out there....stick with the ones that will fit with proper offset and without spacers. That's your best bet.

problem with spacers is that it places the load away from the correct position.

granted it's like in millimeters. but that could throw off the bearings to hell. and when you bring it to the dealer for warrantly claim, they might just catch that spacer and refuse it.

cheap ROTA SDRs in 17" fit and they look nice.
