Or take the seat to an upholstery shop to see what they can do with it (assuming that the hole in the chassis remains).91TB78 said:You could be courageous enough to cut through that after removing the cloth in the portion and having a custom pass through there. I wouldn't do it, but with the right tools and people helping you its possible.
We won't need to worry about this...at the Petersen Preview, one of the reps said that SOA left out the stereo to come in under the gas guzzler tax.jisidoro said:For me, I would not buy one if it got really poor gas mileage, and we had to pay a gas guzzler tax when we bought the car. For instance The gas guzzler tax on the M3 is $1000 and that gets 16/24 MPG. The STI may be close to that due to the 4WD + high output engine.
Then again, if I were to get an STI I'd get one coming off of a lease 4 years down the road. cuz I'm po!
I think it was very close to the target weight and pulling the stereo and pass through made the difference. I hypothisized this from various postings on several boards. I am pretty sure tht is why the fog lights are also not standard.jisidoro said:What kind of monster stereo is this anyways that hurts the gas mileage so much!?!? A stereo is very very minor compared to fog lights (when they are on) Also if they really want to save weight they should leave out the spare tire/ jack/ tools.
Thats a good point dude, I don't know if dealers will do a lease on hot cars like this or brand new cars. You're usually dealing with the car company's internal financial arm, I dunno.thebigshow said:the only thing that would hold me up would be if i couldn't find a dealer to lease one to me. i can't afford financing to buy one right now. i would; however, finance to buy after my term was up. another thing, getting a black one is kinda important. i have an ebp si right now, so i wanna try and get something different than blue.
the bigshow, any opinions of having that color blue for some time? I ask b/c I'm torn between the black and WRB..i have an ebp si right now, so i wanna try and get something different than blue.
coolsly: i understand completely. from what i'd read in some of your posts (not *how* you said it), i got the sense you were not in the states. i meant no offense at all in my comment and i'm glad you didn't take it as a flame. peace.CoOlSlY said:4MLA1FN: ...I'm french from Quebec so that may be why sometimes the words are not placed properly in a sentence))
