I would think any aftermarket downpipe would void your warranty. If you don't want to throw CEL's then I would recomend a high flow catted one like the Helix or Cobb.

all after market dps will void your warranty unless otherwise stated by your dealer. and they have to really reallly like you for that.

negative. That was the first question I asked when I bought my car. The Parts Manager who is incharge of the warranty **** said that the exhaust won't void anything unless they can prove the damage/broken component was caused by the aftermarket exhaust.

I spoke with Subaru of Canada regarding an aftermarket downpipe. They said all will void your warranty. Only a cat-back exhaust will not. Some dealers will install downpipes but at your own risk...We have a couple dealers installing Cobb downpipes.

I have a Perrin 3in catback exhaust and i want a downpipe that wont void any warranty or give me any CEL's so what downpipe would you guys recommend ???

i'm in chicago burbs...two different subie dealership service coordinators told me catted downpipe won't void warranty.

Voiding the warranty is usually the discretion of the service department. Generally speaking a downpipe should not void any warranties as it does not substantially alter the way a car performs. While increased boost pressure may exist, the car has the necessary failsafes in place to prevent any engine damage even with higher boost pressures. Convincing the local service department of this however, is much more difficult.

If you're worried about warranty, I would stick with the catted downpipes, however this is not necessarily a guarantee that Subaru will honor your warranty - in fact we have had 100% stock cars be denied warranty by Subaru before.

We have Helix catted units in in about 6 days. :)

Thanks,

Gary

You know what, we've exhausted this many times before on "what will void my warranty", etc. Look it up. Read the sticky we have provided. That is Federal law, not open to interpretation by your brother that runs a shop or your local Subie dealer.
