I got mine at Austin Subaru. They're great people. At first they wanted $5000 over MSRP for it. But I told them that I had my name on the Huffines list in Dallas and the car was coming next week. So I walked out of the dealership. 2 hours later, the sales guy calls me back and asks if I would take the car if it was only $1000 over MSRP. I then asked if they could drop the destination charge. The sales guy went to go "talk to the manager" and came back like 5 seconds later and said sure. So that was + $1000 - $550 = + $450 over MSRP. Not bad. If I had gotten my car at Huffines in Dallas it would have been $550 (destination charge) + MSRP. So I think I came out about $100 ahead in the deal. Of course then I plunked down some money for a turbo gauge so that evened out.
Incidentally, don't buy anything from Gillman, they tried to sell me their first STi for $3000 over MSRP and when I got into it the odometer read 250 miles. That's 250 test drive miles on the first STi in Austin. I was supposedly 15th on their wait list, yet they offered me their first STi, hmmmmm.....
