That is a pretty weak warranty!

The warranty on a Subaru, beings that I'm a Subie guy, is 5years/60,000 miles on the powertrain (inc. the AWD & Turbo) and 3years/36,000 miles on the bumper-to-bumper and roadside assistance.

I am interested on getting the extended warranty with my STi and was wondering how much the extended warranty costs and how much will that cover. I assume that it is the same as the other extended ones on other Subaru vehicles. Maybe our good buddy Murley could check into this. I have had extended warranties on other vehicles save me some cash in the past.

Getting pretty boaring here in this neck of the woods!!!

Subaru offers an Awesome ext.warranty called "The Subaru Difference". It is directly from Subaru not farmed out by some company that sells warranties right next to their floor polish. It's a pretty good deal. As for prices, they start as low as $1000 or so and can go up to the $2000 range depending on length and deductible.

Here's hoping the "gold" version of the extended warranty includes a loaner car also-checked in with my dealer tonight after logging onto the board. He really wants to sell me that extended plan. To be fair you guys need some way to make a buck, Jason, and this would help. But I want my dealer to throw in the floor mats! The stereo also is a must! Got to have sound to and from work! But I guess that goes in my column.

I'm saying that I'm not forcing some warranty down your throat. if you want it you can have it. It will add rental car and the MSRP for that warranty with $0 deductable is $2690 for a turbo and we sell it for under $2000. Again, your choice. I'll give you MSRP and no warranty and I'll still be nice!!!
