Just make sure the seam isn't constricted where the cover meets the dashboard. Since you can't remove the cover without taking either the whole module or dashboard out, just pry it up and wrap it then pop it back in.
Vinyl over passenger side airbag
I want to redo my dash board in my 04 STi, I have this thin flexible, stretchable UV resistant vinyl that is darker and has a small pattern. I'm concerned about the airbag cover. I was planning on removing the existing vinyl if that is indeed possible, and replacing it with my vinyl. If I redo the airbag cover will that jeopardize the functionality of the airbag? If I remove the existing vinyl and put mine one would't that be fine? Don't people flock over the airbag anyways?
