check this link guys, looks legit and US spec to me. the numbers on the speedo are correctly displayed so it isnt a backwards pic. no cool aluminium dead pedal. BUT note the presence of the red stitching on the leather MOMO wheel and shifter. radio delete, thus futher making me believe that it IS a PRODRIVE US spec. i dont think the host knew that this pic was the US spec STi PRODRIVE. if it is, sign me up!!!......and the link you've all been waiting for...

this one is a NICE front shot, look at the gauge hump on the US drivers side. my god those fog light covers... dare they spoil the US crowd? http://www.rsportcars.com/foto/12/impreza_prodrive02_03_800.jpg

a MUCH clearer shot, and i rest my case, that my friends is a US Spec STi PRODRIVE, or at the VERY least a confirmation of US production. are those HID lights i see?

well.... why the hell is there a LHD euro?
id import that if i had the cash.

still. why would subaru waste the money on the STi on some obscure euro country w/o making them in america. wouldnt seem wise to me.

id still like to think that its a US spec.... =)

Wouldn't emission regulations and crash standards be similar? Also, wouldn't the cost of making a left-side drive be minimal compared to the extra sales (unlike the expense of satisfying NA laws)?

The European countries all drive on the right side of the road, except for the kooky countries in Great Britain.

Sweden used to drive on the left, then they switched. I read a story about it, they put up signs facing the other directions on all the roads and kept them covered without taking down the old ones. Then, one night, they uncovered the new ones and removed the old ones. I don't think there were any major incidents as the public was prepared. But imagine if you had to get up tomorrow and drive on the other side of the road!
