How general should the 'STi General' forum be? For the most part, it's pretty much STi-specific, but there are definitely some threads here that have nothing to do with that particular car -- or even the WRX. Are there others who'd like to see such discussion -- entirely worthwhile discussion, I admit -- posted instead into the 'Off-topic' forum?

Glad to see I'm not alone. Even if it is only MKIVSupra's opinion.

BTW, sup, I also think that the WRX-only stuff is pretty much off-topic for a site dedicated to the STi, instead of to Subes. There are TONS of other subie sites, but JJ had something very special in mind, as did I when I joined.

That is my point. I frequent a few car related forums. I have to sift through all the BS over at i-club, so when I come here I am expecting to see STi related stuff. Everything else if 'Off Topic' as far as I am concerned. I hate reading posts here about someone asking how or what to do to their WRX. I don't own a WRX and think most of us here don't either cause we are waiting for an STi. I know some could not wait and did get a WRX but not many. Maybe we need a "WRX" section. I don't think one belongs here but maybe it will make everyone happy.

You must be the Forum Police, because i have seen you post the same thing in every thread.
And yes i am one of the ones posting WRX stuff in STi GENERAL. I do this because i get more responses there than in the Off Topic. Until the STi comes out there is not much to talk about as far as STi General.

I'm not a moderator; I'm just a regular user who, like most others here (I hope), participates in this forum because it is STi-specific.

I agree that there is not as much to discuss about the STi as there is about the WRX. Nonetheless, members of this forum have managed to talk about a great deal of STi-specific things.
Anonymous: inside sources report things here.
Orders/Waiting Lists: self-explanatory
General: basically this is almost entirely dedicated to rumours, with the remainder being feedback from European and Australia owners. And 91TB78.

The discussions have accordingly remained focused -- save for the past couple of months or so -- on the STi.
If you want answers to WRX questions, why not go to i-club? There are FAR more users, and even more who actually own WRX's and RS's.
If you're posting non-STi questions here simply because there's not much talk about the STi, you're being inconsiderate. I, as a user, would prefer to see 2 STi posts over one week than 20 posts in a week, only 2 of which are about the STi.

I've posted a few STi questions and received no response. Does that bother me? Nah.

The Only reason i post here is because the people on this forum are more like me and the people on I-club are A-holes and it is to big to get around in. If you ask a question they just bitch at you and tell you it is already posted somewhere.

I agree that the people here are more considerate, and they often go grab the link to the thread to save you some headache. However, it always takes two to tango, and you can't expect everything to be handed to you on a silver platter; try to find stuff first on your own. Please. :x

I-club does have a search function. I have used it before. Go to the appropriate section and just search on what you are looking for.
