Heh

Using the pictures in the first color simulation from the "STI Color SIMULATION!!!!" thread and the wheels from the Subaru color survey, my brother used his Photoshop wizardry and put together a color combo sampler webpage

Like a lot of others, I also would prefer the gunmetal over the silver wheels, so I also included a sample of what the gunmetals would look like if BBS or Subaru offered them in that color.

Enjoy

Very nice job. Tell your brother thanks from the forum. This brings up an interesting point though. I notice that the models don't show the brembo brakes, which will be very conspicuous. I just always assumed that the brakes were automatically going to be gold. If you choose the silver wheels (for some crazy reason  ) do you still have the gold brakes? That will just look silly. Also... is it just me or does the white paint job make the car look WAY too much like the '96 civic ex I just traded in? White with gold rims doesn't look that bad though...

Bhodges3,
the brakes calipers are gold no matter what color wheel you choose. Very cool..it helps to make the STi.

The gold and white look SWEET! Probably a 2nd place tie with blue and gold..but it is black for me!! ;)

Tell your brother a big thank you from all of us here at the forum!!

Re: THANKS!!

Heh, I live in the south where it gets crazy hot and there is pollen all over. So black isn't very viable here. You end up with a car covered in yellow pollen that you can't breathe in, and you can't ride with air coming into it (through windows or ac) due to all the pollen. Whee! Oh yeah, and I know about the gold brakes, which I agree look sweet. But gold brake (shoes?) with silver wheels? Silly!!!

Gold brakes on silver rims? That can't be. Crazy.

I love the black w/ gunmetal wheels look. That's what I have on my RSX-S right now.

But I am still undecided on the STi color. In a way I want:
1. blue - because of the WRC legacy
2. black - because its more subdued (business reasons)
3. white - does not look all that bad too me either

Does anyone know whether the interior will always be blue/black. If it is then I will have to go with blue or black exterior. The other colors would just look too ridiculous to me. Imagine a white exterior, with blue/black/titanium interior, silver rims and gold brakes. The Circus is in town!

Sorry, i was away from the forum for sometime and didn't notice the new information. So since its blue/black on the inside it has to be one of the 2 colors on the outside. At least, this makes things easier, for me

Hey! what's wrong with texas?there is lots of steak here. and good car weather in the winter and no snow. jeez. :D
Anyway, my most recent whim is that if they offer the gunmetal wheels i will get blue and gunmetal, b/c that is just too cool looking to pass up.

The blue with gunmetal looks awesome! But with gold brembos spinning around underneath it would look kinda funny.

Still, blue and gold rims for me all the way :)
