08 sti 80k miles. Long story short, found copper in my oil dude to the bearing doing out in my turbo. Took out the turbo and it had a ton of play to where it was hitting the housing. Found that the screen on the banjo bolt that's under the turbo was clogged up.

My question is, are you guys leaving that screen out completely or just cleaning it out regularly? I got a new bolt and was planning on leaving the screen in while I flushed out some of the copper material the bearing left behind. But I wasn't sure if I should then take the screen out or just clean it out?

Thanks

See I don't know if I should leave it or take it out since I have to flush out the material left behind from the old bearing. I'd hate for it to get clogged again while I'm flushing it out but I also don't really want to get any debris in the new turbo. The copper is really fine but I'm not sure how small tolerances in the turbo are and if the material with just pass through?
