Picked it up July 4th, 2012 from Steele Subaru in Halifax, Nova Scotia. According to the sales manager, it is one of the last 2012 model white hatchbacks built and the last one imported into Canada. Not sure how much truth there is to that, but if it's true it's pretty cool

What an hour old STi looks like in the Trites residence:
I took a day and dove head first into some Cobb front and rear shifter bushings and a Cobb short throw shifter. That was more of a pain in the ass than I care to comment on but it shifts a lot nicer now. Well worth the swearing. Finished it off with a Perrin reverse lock out and Perrin shift knob. And continuing in my quest to rid my interior of that cheap looking silver trim, it's now black. A couple pics:
Nice rumble at idle and low speeds. You certainly hear it coming. Bit of a drone at highway speeds.
It looks great, fills out the gaps in the bumper nicely, but its made of really thin walled stainless. My flex pipe decided to screw off, so I welded in a new piece and discovered just how thin it was. But for the price it's not a bad purchase.
Well, unfortunately I had a little run in with a blown out transport truck tire and due to oncoming traffic was unable to swerve. I cracked my front lip and smashed up my plastic under tray. But fortunately for me and my inner ricer, I was able to obtain zip ties that colour matched my wheels
It was a quick, temporary fix. I'll look at getting a metal skid plate and a new lip over the winter.
Hey everyone,
I felt the need to start a journal seeing that I have acquired an acceptable amount of modifications for the car, and it is a never ending project for me. Enjoy the thread and always feel free to chime in!

3rd time is the charm.
It has been quite a long time since I’ve actively been on here and have had any desire to really work or care about cars/car work.
I recently got rid of the rebuilt title 08 STi I had and picked up this 2011 sport tech mode from a military fellow. It’s been sitting in...
