wrx handling vs sti handing

Does anyone have a picture of the backend with the top piece of the wing removed, with just the bottom piece still bolted to the trunk?

I'm curious to know if this may be a compromise solution to having either that big wing or nothing at all.

i think you can do it yourself with a philips screwdriver and 5 minutes. (you have your sti, right?)

my suspicion is that you couldn't just run with the bottom piece. you'll have ugly screw holes, and i think the wing is largly hollow. so unless you're looking for a way to carry goldfish, i think you'd need to do some mods to the the lower wing. if i get a second tonight, i'll take it apart and post pics.

Perhaps for the people that hate the wing one could find a bodykit manufacturer that would eleminate the center section leaving you with "pink cadillac" style fins...Done right it really could look trick

It would be very easy to do what is shown above....only with small little fins.

That's what I wanted, just two vertical fins without the cross piece. As an ex Naval Aviator, I was going for the F-14 Tomcat look.

i-club meeting in alexandria

Someone on Nasioc actually photoshopped a car with just the lower element, as well as removing the vertical fins and compressing the elements closer together.

I think both are superior looking to the stock wing myself.

Has anyone successfully removed the top deck? There's a wire/cable holding it in place... anyone know what it's purpose is? Here's my post at NASIOC with pictures
