Planning to get Silver car..
What tints would look best on silver car? Will those mirrored/reflection ones be nice on Silver?
Also, what are best brands/kinds of tints? I heard Premium F1s are great and 3M is great.. Anything else quality out there?

IMO those silver tints are pretty ghetto looking.

I'm probably biased because I have a silver car with this setup, but I always like the look of about 15% in the back and whatever is legal in the front.

Don't know much about brands. I think my tint is Lum....Lux....something like that. No problems.

I agree with clonegts... The reflector tint seems a little too pimped out for me... a dark tint (15%) as stated looks really sharp on a silver car... and people can't see your stereo! brands... uh... sure

ye, thanks guys..
I decided a looong time ago on a silver car (easy to maintain) and definitely silver wheels for me (Gold is too pimped out for me, especially on a silver car..), gold wheels would probably look nicer on a black or blue, since it would contrast nice (dark car, light color wheels).
15% tints in the back sound great and probably 15-20 in the front (yes, it is illegal in NY/NJ), but I never had problems on my Jetta. Since I will have NAV, mp3, DVD player in there I'd rather pay $50 once in 3 years as a ticket than have someone break into my car after they would see my goodies in there..

Don't fool yourself man....they know it's in there. They don't just go walking through parking lots looking for stuff. If they come for you, they know you have it.

And just the fact that your friends know.....and their friends probably know...that's plenty.

I used to run 15% all around, but it's just too damn hard to see at night. If you live in street lights all the time, that's great. Go anywhere without lights, and my 35% gets in the way some times.

Bingo!! $50 or $1500???? Hmmmm.... the math isn't rocket science. In soon states they force you to remove it though... oh well... still not $1500 PLUS INSURANCE ISSUSES.

I'm not sure of the Mfg'r but I do know that we get it in rolls and actually laser-cut it to the specifications of each car.

[EDITED remainder of post]

I ordered silver/silver too due to the same sentiment. After seeing the silver/gold pics from the i-club in Hawaii I'm now rethinking that. The silver/gold actually looks pretty good.
