Hi everyone.
I am Australian and have a 2018 wrx sti that has a timing belt change coming up. My local mechanic has told me to buy the parts and he'll install them.
Is this everything he needs ? Subaru Genuine Timing Belt/Water Pump/Thermostat Kit - Subaru STI 15-21 TBKIT008 | Pro Speed Racing

I note it says "Note: Suits Subaru Models with OEM Water/Oil Cool assembly as water pumpe requires three ports. Not suitable for models with only two ports on water pump"
So its fine as mines stock? I was confused, I thought there was 2 models of water pumps and you need to inspect to see which type mine is.
Thanks in advance.

If you have an EJ257, then it should have the 3 port water pump. That kit seems like it has everything.

I would recommend doing the oil pump and its seals while you are there. Also, id suggest getting the o-rings for the AVCS gears since your are going to be locking the camshafts using a cam locking tool. Replace the AC and accessory belt. The way I see it, if its coming off then its getting replaced. You're going to need coolant too btw.

I was looking at something like that. There's stuff in there I don't need though isn't there ? Can I buy just the water pump from that and use the rest from the other package ?

I'm really confused because when I google it that incorrect number keeps coming up. I might just get the dealer to do it then if it mucks up it's on them.
