Seems like on a sunny day it looks really blue, and really nice. In low light or at night it has a purple look to it. Strange. I had a dark blue Lagacy once, and while it was a great color, chips really showed, esp. on the front.

Not that I am an expert by any means but in direct full sun this car is dark PURPLE.

I just took some time a couple days ago seeing one at the dealer. I really like the way it looks but expect PURPLE as the dominant color in direct full sun. A deep deep purple not fruity. In any other shade I can't say because it was baking in the 106 degree Sacramento sun that day.

Flops purple at extreme angles in direct sunlight, but otherwise it's a dark blue which turns to a high metallic blue in light. Obviously it's the color I picked, so yeah. I like it, lol.

The color is crazy... depending on the time of day, it can be purple, blue, blurple, black, etc. Here's a pic of mine from above in both shade and sunlight.

I didn't really like the color looking at various pictures. I dropped by the Subaru dealership to check out the new 2011. Plasma Blue Pearl was the one in the showroom. In person, it's not that bad. However, World Rally Blue is the one I will always favor. It seems like the newer STi's are going away from their rally heritage.

Just got my hatch in PBP. It looks really great in person! To me its mostly a dark blue. It does have a bit of purple in it when the sun hits it. I wouldn't call it "blurple" though because its either blue or purple, never really anything in between.

I like the color personally. It's a nice and unique change of pace. The original colors will always be awesome too, espcially WRB.
