Hello All:

Just got back from my local dealer here in Mississauga a suburb of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He had 10 STi's in the lot bound for the press. There were 6 blue, 2 silver and 1 each of white and black. They were most impressive. All the blue had gold wheels the others were satin finished.

I saw and listened to the white and silver as they were driven away and back from the local fillin' station. Even at low revs and idle they sounded terrific. The gas guy said that it pulled really strong even at lower revs and less than large gas pedal input (as expected) especially compared to the regular WRX.

The seats were nice for a big guy 6'4" and 270 lbs. The heated seat is apparently drivers side only. The other switch is the DCCD. Also they said there are no fog lights under those covers.

That rear wing is just right! I think they were at least eight bolts right through the trunk lid for security.

I gotta say (even though I've ordered blue/gold) that the white was awesome. The black is pretty sleek as well. The silver although understated will be striking when polished well.

Can't wait - Still smilin' :) I took some pictures with a 35 mm. I'll post scans as soon as they're developed.

Nice! I can't wait to see your pics.

What type of wing was it? There is a debate in another post and hopefully you can quell their concerns.

I sat in a 04 WRX, and i found the seats to be less supportive then before. It seems they widened the seats too much. Did you notice a difference in size between the 04WRX and the STI?

Actually, my wife is at the 1 hour photo place now - I'll post anything worthwhile later tonight.

Oh yeah, although the dealer still has no official price here in Canada he figures somewhere around $46000 CDN.

Re the seat. It's definitely a little wider although the side bolsters seemed fairly substantial.

Yeah, we just got our 04MY WRX's two days ago and the seats are completely different than the previous years. First, the seat is wider. Second, the bolsters seem to be a little taller to hold on to you. Third, the new cloth and headrest setup is pretty sweet. Fourth, the height adjustment has been changed slightly. Instead of the old "ratcheting" sounding handel, they added a longer "smooth stroke"(in my own terms) ratchet handel. It doesn't make the ugly noise and looks much better. It's pretty cool!

Re: Adding the STi

I think that he means it takes less pressure (or throtle) to get an effective reaction from the engine.
