I think the author is referring to the tire choice only here, but still he didn't clarify the point.

ye, i think so 2. if u put blizzacs or alpines on it, it will be just as good in snow as WRX..
The ONLY thing to consider is that STi is 3/4 inches dropped compared to WRX.. but who cares, unless u have a foot of snow on the road (but by then the city would call a state of emergency and closed all traffic)..
