What does GD8, GCA, etc mean when referring to Subaru cars?

There are other terms, but I have no idea and it they are used quite a bit.

I am by no means a Suby expert but I can tell you that those are the chassis codes, i.e., body styles. I am sure if you search and find aFAQ on the net you will find out more than you ever wanted to know about the topic. Check www.nasioc.com if you haven't already. They had some decent FAQs there IIRC.
