I have been working with SubieSpeed because I have tried both the OLM and the OEM Subaru Vortex Generator on my 2017 STi Limited and neither will fit due to the roof antennae being changed/increased in size. I am located in Michigan and I have done all of the measuring, diagramming and photographing I can to aid them in making a piece that will fit the 2017 WRX and STi's. I have been working with Chris from SubieSpeed and he asked me to post this on the forums to see if anyone located in the Des Moines, IA area would be willing to come in so they can take some of the last measurements on an actual car. Below is their location and how to contact Chris and I bet a free one will be given to whoever helps them out. Thanks all!!!

2905 Delaware Ave
Des Moines, IA 50317

They can go to Contact Us and make the subject "ATTN Chris: 2017 Vortex Generator Fitment".

Thank you.

Chris

I test fitted it and it over hung over the rear window molding. Did you get one directly from Subaru for a 2017 because i got my OEM piece from SubieSpeed so maybe thats the issue. Can you snap a shot of the left and right side corners above the rear window and of by the shark fin?? I want to compare to mine. Thanks

Now to me that is not a good fit at all. That should go from end to end and tuck into the window gap. You should not be able to see any of the car paint whatsoever, but that's just me. I'm super picky.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, I have that exact same one, same part # etc. and when I butt it up against the back of the shark fin, it hangs over the rear window a tad under a 1/2 inch, but yours looks like it may just like a few millimeters or that could just be the angle.

The OLM one is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY off though as you can see in the pics.

It's not even all the way over the fin

Yeah...I kind of thought so too, but I took a look at the aftermarket versions that are just HUGE and monstrous and wasn't really pleased with those either. It's just tape so I may take it off there one of these days if I find something I like better. It's not a super expensive item so if I wind up replacing it...no great loss.

Not sure who sold that to ya, but that's not a factory piece. That's one of the aftermarket versions that probably just got tagged with the factory part #

As far as I have seen that is how the OEM ones fit, they leave gaps like that. That is why the OLM versions are more popular because they go end to end and tuck in.
