I just read the whole article. The car is on sale in Australia. So it's 44K in Australian dollars. I have no clue what that equals in US Dollars.

I thought it was a joke at first hehe. 44K US dollars would be insane.

AU$44,000 is roughly US$33,000. Keep in mind a regular WRX costs US$30,500 in Australia and the STi costs US$43,500.

US is spoiled with cheap car prices.

read Eatv8's post. The base WRX in Aussie is ~US30,500. With this package its US33k (after conversion). US2500 bucks for this. I think its well worth it.
