my endlinks are acting up again. first time when i had this problem, the rear links were both bent out of shape, then as of last saturday, the handling somewhat felt funny, and all of a sudden, started hearing loud thumping sound from the rear when i drove over the rough bumps. of course, the first thing i inspected was rear endlinks. the rear endlink to the driver's side appear to be barely hanging at an angle, where the passenger side rear endlink was hanging almost perpendicular to the ground.
i apologize if this is the topic beaten already to death before, but how many of you have had problems with rear endlinks? what can i do to fix this problem?

If you are using a larger than stock rear swaybar, it is recommended that you upgrade the endlinks as well, as there have been countless instances of stock rear endlinks bending and/or breaking. Even on the stock swaybars it has occasionally been an issue. If you take a look at the stock endlinks next to something like the Kartboys it's amazing how much of a difference there is in thickness.

those kartboy endlinks look like they can withstand the bomb explosion. i really wanted them, so i called the dealership and asked if installing those kartboys will void my warranty, and of course, the answer is yes, it will void my warranty related to suspension issues. ugghhh... just can't win.

What rear swaybar do you have? Do you track or autocross the car? Do you jack up one corner of the rear at a time, and/or do you routinely traverse a sharp, abrupt incline such as a driveway with a steep entry angle?
everything is completely stock on suspension. no track or autocrossing. always hoister the car up on 4 corners at the local dealership, but i do occasionally take sharp turns, powersliding.
i haven't done any suspension mod, knowing that ALL the problems i had with my 05 sti deals with either struts or endlinks. the only "mods" are SSR GT7 OEM size rims and pirelli p zero tires (OEM size) running at 38lbs front and 32/back (i prefer to overinflate by a couple of lbs to help roll better and to compensate for the air temperature drops). :confused:
