I had a friend who owned a F80 M3 competition package drive a white S209 this past summer
the M3 got traded in on the same day. He only paid $67k for the Subaru with 15k miles. He comes from money, so he can drive whatever he want. His father owns a newer GT3 - my buddy says the S209 is the most fun on the street he’s ever had in a sedan, and said his fathers GT350R and GT3 are the only ones that are significantly better….

I believe it! I think only a certain type of driver will appreciate the S209. I've seen YouTube reviewers underwhelmed by the straight line performance of the S209. By now I'd think reviewers would know these cars are not about the going fast in a straight line. SavageGeese gave it a great review and I know Jerry Seinfeld has a S209 and says how great it is to drive.
I hope to one day get to experience how different they are compared to the STI.
