I know that Irvine recived 10 of them I think but they're all selling them with a 5K markup.

I think they had like 60-70 in their waiting list. If they only selling at MSRP to the first 10 folks then it is indeed a shame.

I had my STI on wait list at Irvine Subaru and they indeed are charging a 5k markup to everyone. However, i have not negotiated the price with them yet so who knows if it will hold water.

Well, Desire` has promised to sell STi's to those on her list from this club for MSRP. After filling some orders of people on the list she set aside a couple for the showroom floor at a substantial mark-up.

Per Desire` 15 to 20 people on the list will be called every month to get paper work taken care of in preparation to receive their cars the following month.

As far as I know she is honoring her word to us.

Yeah, Outkast I think you need to put those images in a code block. That would help to preserve the spacing.

Hey everyone,
I'm a long time reader of this site, but just now signed up as a user. Anyway, here's my complaint about Irvine. I receive a from Oscar(the guy that's been helping me try to get my DREAM CAR) this past saturday, saying that they have 2 units available to best bidder. I call and get upsetting news. Somehow, the car is selling for $32k+ @MSRP. However, Oscar did mention that they were honoring the first 10 the the list with MSRP, and the rest with a premium. I asked what the premium was and he said $7000. I just couldn't believe what he just said. So after tax and licensing, the STi would essencially be $44k+ car. WTF!!! :evil:

Another thing that pissed me off was the fact that they screwed around with the waiting list. I was #50. At first I did't mind the wait, as it would give me more time to build up my down payment. I asked Oscar if I was still #50 on the waiting list. He said no. Oscar said that someone took over the list and rearranged things. I am now #106. WTF!!! :evil:

I'm really upset about the whole situation. I put in a $100 deposit in Nov. 02 and I get treated like this??? After seeing the car in person and knowing the fact the it is here already make me anxious to get my hands on one. Should I wait till the price drops of go for something else? I've been lookig at other dealerships, but it seems that Irvine has the most STi's. Anyone is SoCal have any advice for me...or anyone else???

The same thing happed to me Jelphree. I was supposed to be #45 but when i called they said I wasnt even on the list. I have copies of the papers saying that i put down the deposit and was #45 but once they said they were gona have the huge markup I said screw it and went to another dealer where I got a better deal and didnt have to wait in line. Im glad I did because now Im driving around my Blue STi instead of waiting around for them to call me and screw me over.
