Sticky/Notchy clutch pedal

Has anyone experienced a sticky or notchy clutch pedal? It happens sporadically throughout the day. I never know when it will happen. I will start to let the pedal out and about half way it will stick for a moment and then continue fine to the top? It doesn't seem to effect the clutch engagement or anything, it's just annoying.

Thanks,
Zach

Your clutch/break pedal mounts are breaking away from the firewall. The bracket is held on with 6 welds, over time they'll break. If you listen close, you'll hear it squeak.

Look at your brake pedal as you're pressing down on the clutch, you'll notice that it moves to the left.

This means that you have at least one broken weld. As time goes on, all six welds will break, and you will no longer be able to release your clutch.

OP has an 06 WRX, im sure the firewall construction an fabrication is different, thus being a different situation then the 08+ wrx.

OP - if its getting stuck, you either have a leak in the system, a bent clutch pedal arm, or a slave cylinder problem.

My 98 forester had this exact problem and it ended up being the slave cylinder.
